FAQs

Are you accepting new clients?

I am always open to phone consultations, and if my caseload reaches capacity, I’m happy to provide referrals to other therapists in your area or those who offer telehealth services. You also have the option to join my waitlist, ensuring you’ll be contacted when an opening becomes available. Your journey toward healing is important to me!

Do you accept insurance?

I accept TRICARE insurance as a non-network provider! Currently, I do not accept any other types of insurance. However, I will provide an itemized “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to confirm if they cover out-of-network tele-mental health services before we begin our work together.

How does my information stay confidential and secure?

I utilize HIPAA-compliant software and encrypted data to ensure the highest level of security for your information. As a tele-mental health provider, I adhere to the same confidentiality and HIPAA standards as all health professionals. It’s my commitment to do everything possible to protect your privacy and confidentiality throughout our work together.

Why can you only work with residents of Arizona and Washington states?

According to telehealth laws and ethics regulations, therapists can only provide services to clients in the states where they are licensed and physically located. This means that if you travel outside your home state, I can only offer therapy if I hold a license in the state you are visiting. Currently, I am licensed in Arizona and Washington, so I am only able to serve clients residing in these states.

What are the payment options?

I accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards for your convenience. If you are local, I also welcome payment by cash or check.

What is telehealth?

Telehealth refers to the delivery of healthcare services, including mental health therapy, through digital platforms such as video calls, phone calls, or secure messaging, allowing clients to receive care from the comfort of their own homes.

How do I prepare for my telehealth appointment?

To prepare for your appointment, ensure you have a reliable internet connection, a quiet and private space where you can speak freely, and any necessary paperwork completed beforehand. It’s also helpful to have a device with a camera and microphone ready for the session. Bring something to take notes with to help you remember what was discussed.

How can I cancel or reschedule my telehealth appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible. I appreciate your consideration and will do my best to accommodate your needs.
